How many minutes should I tan for? ⌛️
To achieve your desired tan safely it is important to understand your skin type and adjust your tanning session accordingly, building up your minutes, once a base tan has been achieved.

Every person is special. And every person has different preferences. The one‐of‐a‐kind intelliSun system imitates the sun of your favourite location, from Basic, to Mediterranean all the way to intensive Caribbean. With a single push of a button.
One system, endless possibilities: With intelliSun you can easily regulate the desired sun, desired strength and desired tan. Basic gives a light tan and is popular for people with fair skin. Mediterranean is more intense and gives a darker tan. Caribbean is the most intense setting and gives a deeper darker tan suitable for people with darker skin.
Can I listen to my own music? 🎵
Yes, all our sunbeds are fitted with Bluetooth and aux cables to plug in your phone or MP3 player or you can relax and listen to the radio through our sunbed speakers.
How long will it take before I see results? 🕶
To build a base tan, you should start off with a few sessions a week depending on your skin type. Everyone will see results at a different pace but you should start to see colour after your first couple of sessions building quickly after your first 4 or 5. Once you have achieved the tan you desire, having a session once or twice a week will keep your tan topped up perfectly.
How do I keep my tan? 🧴
Moisturising and taking regular tanning sessions with an accelerator or bronzer will ensure you keep your golden tan. Always drink plenty of water to keep you and your skin hydrated.
Do I shut the lid entirely?
Yes, make sure you pull the lid down as far as it will go to get even coverage from the tubes on the top and the bottom. There will always still be a gap and you cannot get stuck inside (despite THAT Final Destination film!) At any time, you can easily push it upwards.
Can I share my account? 👯
Your account with Base Tanning is personal to you and you cannot let anyone else use your account. If your account is used by anyone else other than you, we may close it. We store photo ID on our system to verify it is you.
Can I share my sunbed session? 👯♀️
You must not take anyone else into the tanning room with you. You must be 18 to use UV equipment. Each person must be age verified and using their own account
Do you accept walk-ins and bookings? 📓
Yes, we accept walk-ins and bookings. If you would like to book please use our online booking system. This will allow you to come into the salon at your chosen time, skip the queue and enter straight into your chosen bed. We have a five minute grace period after your booking time has started but if you are running any later just drop us a message on Instagram, Facebook or call the main line we will be happy to change your slot.
How can I pay? 💰
We accept cash and card payments. If you are booking online we ask for a deposit to reserve your slot. This will be taken off the total cost of your session. We ask for atleast 24 hours notice if you would like to cancel, anything less than this will result in your deposit not being refunded. If you would like to change your slot we will do our best to accommodate you. Please read our T&C's when booking.
